Kidnapped Sydney pet duo found alive in Victoria

A MUCH loved pet pig and his sheep companion who made headlines when they were stolen from a popular Sydney cafe more than two weeks ago have been discovered at an animal shelter in remote Victoria.

Kevin Bacon and his sidekick Bradley have long been favourite attraction for families and city-siders at the barn outside Alexandria cafe The Grounds.

When the pair went missing on October 7, cafe owners feared they may have ended up on the menu somewhere else but a phone call from an animal carer more than 500kms away.

She told police the odd couple had been dropped off at her sanctuary at Orbost last Thursday but it wasn't until she saw pictures on the news that she realised she was housing victims of a crime.

Both animals were taken to the vet for check-ups.

Bradley was given the all clear but Kevin was treated for anxiety and given a course of antibiotics for a nasty infection.

When both are fit to travel, police intend or sending them home to their relieved owners.
