Kids itching to see Hairy Maclary at Rockhampton Art Gallery

HAIRY Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy has delighted a generation of kids and parents and now he's coming to Rockhampton Art Gallery.

The adventures of Hairy and his friends, and their famous distaste for cats, filled 21 books by New Zealand author and illustrator, Dame Lynley Dodd.

Hairy Maclary alone sold over 5 million copies worldwide.

The work of Lynley Dodd features in this travelling exhibition and showcases 59 original drawings from the popular book series.

Drawings from some of her earliest work, are also on display in the exhibition out of Tauranga Art Gallery in New Zealand.

See Hairy, Schnitzel Von Krumm, Slinky Malinki and the others from tomorrow until February 2 next year.
