King tides no detterant to people needing to cool down

PREDICTED king tides over the weekend was no deterrent for community members, visitors and photographers who flocked to the beach to cool down in the sweltering heat.

Photographers were in abundance as they tried capturing the best snaps across the region.

Tides around Queensland were up about the five-metre mark and in some areas peaked at up to seven metres

.The Capricorn Coast was spared any major issues due to a very small swell over the weekend with Rosslyn Bay recording up about 4.7 metres.
