BRISBANE Heat's bid to win consecutive Big Bash League Twenty20 crowns was given a huge boost yesterday with news that former Kiwi Test captain Daniel Vettori will be available for the entire campaign.

The left-arm spinner, 34, missed the Heat's inaugural title triumph last year due to an Achilles injury.

The Heat, whose other international will be England wicketkeeper/batsman Craig Kieswetter, start its season at the Gabba on December 22 against the team it beat in last season's decider, the Perth Scorchers
