Kraken unleashed on Yeppoon foreshore this morning

COLOURFUL tentacles of The 'Keppel Kraken' were unleashed onto Yeppoon's main beach this morning as part of the construction of the foreshore water play feature.

Four ornately decorated octopus tentacle sculptures were lifted by a crane into the construction site, which is due for completion by the end of the month.

The tentacles, up to 4.5 metres high, were erected to form the centrepiece of the new zero-depth water play feature.
