Nick Kyrgios upsets Roger Federer on clay

BIG-serving American John Isner was up next overnight for Nick Kyrgios after the Aussie staved off two match points to beat world No.2 Roger Federer at the Madrid Open.

Kyrgios became the fifth player aged 20 or under to beat Rafael Nadal (2014 Wimbledon) and Federer, joining Mario Ancic, Tomas Berdych, Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin del Potro.

The 20-year-old, who won 6-7 7-6 7-6, is the youngest player in the top 50 world rankings and could yet earn a seeded spot at the French Open later this month after reacing the final of the Estoril Open last week.
