Landry rejects education poll which union ran about reforms
MICHELLE Landry has fired back at the NTEU's poll saying Capricornia will "see through it like a hole in grandma's nightie".
She went on to say the poll was flawed, and she would be questioning its credibility.
"The NTEU has misrepresented the Coalition's higher education reforms in their polling to ensure the results turned out to be whatever they needed them to be, as long as the union could be negative about it," she said.
"We are expanding opportunity for students by extending the system to cover diplomas and pathway courses to university, meaning 80,000 more students will have an opportunity for study.
"Claims about fees and costs are completely wrong.
"Universities will have to compete for students and this is likely to result in putting downward pressure on fees."
Do you think changes to tertiary education by Federal Gov't will determine an election now?
This poll ended on 25 July 2014.
This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
She said students would continue to pay nothing up-front.
They would only have to repay the fees for their degree when earning over $50,000.
