Leeson boys come out on top of stud cattle class at Show

DANA Leeson may have been nervous about the outcome when her two sons entered in the Rockhampton Show's under-12 parading to compete against each other, but she needn't have been.

The boys took out first and second place in the competition, with 11-year-old Marshall taking out first with his brahman steer Optimus Prime and nine-year-old Conor placing second with his brangus Oggy.

Their older sister Mackenzie, 13, also competed at the show in another category but represented the Rockhampton Grammar School instead of the family's stud, Leeson Cattle Co, which is based near Moura.

The siblings cut their teeth at the Junior Beef Show last year and also competed at Beef Australia, with plans to enter into Junior Beef again this year.
