LETTER: Animal activist stands up for swearing solicitor

DOUG Winning (TMB, November 30) is just a growing number of baby boomers who it would seem could also be accused of thinking out loud, or a slip of the tongue.

And in our childhood we got our mouths washed out with soap, which caused us to mumble.

Add a bit of age, hearing loss, sheer frustration and sheer fatigue at having to constantly listen to people telling lies, as if you were born yesterday, and those mumbles become loud.

I would think that there are one or two people out there who do think that some court proceedings are just that - a joke.

A psychologist once told me that swearing is just words. My grandfather told me that it is not what a person says that is important but what a person does.
