LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Waiting in line at the movies
LETTER TO THE EDITOR: In the past few weeks I have seen two movies at our cinema complex in Rockhampton giving myself plenty of time (I thought) to park and buy tickets.
On both occasions the queues were so long that I missed the start of the movie.
It seems a ridiculous situation where there are sometimes only two people serving and there is no line for tickets only. We had to wait while nearly everyone in the line bought, coffees, popcorn, etc, as well as their tickets.
This holds up everyone. If you purchase online, you pay more for the ticket, but are also given priority at the counter for the people who have been waiting for ages.
I usually only want a ticket. Please, why is there no line for tickets only? The current situation doesn't work.
