SA Liberal Isobel Redmond retains top spot after ballot win
SOUTH Australian Liberal leader Isobel Redmond will remain in the job after winning a narrow party room ballot on Tuesday.
Ms Redmond had been challenged by Martin Hamilton-Smith before prevailing by one vote, 13-12.
She later told reporters the party would "lock in" behind her and move forward as a united team.
The leadership spill came despite the Opposition holding a commanding lead over the Labor government in the polls
South Australians next head to the polls in March 2014.
