Living Black to air one hour special on Cyclone Marcia

NITV current affairs program, 'Living Black' is airing a one hour special this afternoon focusing on the effects of Cyclone Marcia and Cyclone Lam on indigenous Australians.

The program features the individual stories of those within the regions hit by the storms, including Yeppoon and Rockhampton.
It will be the first episode of the show's 22nd season.

Presenter Karla Grant said the situation called for an extended time slot.

"We were so fortunate to meet up with people and hear their stories," she said.

"The program usually goes for a half hour, but we had so many stories and so much footage we wanted to do it justice."

The episode will air on SBS One at 4.30pm this afternoon, and on NITV tomorrow night at 9pm.
