Yeppoon voice launches duo and new band

YEPPOON'S Deborah Dekovic can remember the first time she sang in front of an audience.

She was four-years-old.

But now the local support worker is a regular in front of the microphone and is bringing some exciting new sounds to Yeppoon.

Deborah, 43, has recently started up a new duo and a new band.

"I just love singing so much it really is food for my soul," she said.

"It helps me express myself and for me it's a form of art; it's something I have to do to be happy. The more people I can get up dancing and enjoying themselves, the more satisfaction I get from it.

"The duo was formed a few weeks ago and it's myself and a gentleman, A Sudchai, who plays in the Club 28 band as well. We're called DD and the Keys and we're performing as a duo on Christmas Day at the Mecure Resort from 12pm-3pm which is very exciting.

"The band we've formed is called DD and the Verbs and we'll be playing at the strand for NYE from 9pm so we're really excited for that because it's our debut so it's going to be a great night."
