Low pressure system a surfer's delight
THIS week's weather is expected to be ideal for surfers, offering large easterly swells in the south-east corner of the state.
A deep low pressure system - which has the potential to form into Tropical Cyclone Kelvin - will whip up swell as it moves further offshore, a Bureau of Meteorology spokesman said.
"It's moving away from Queensland and will have no impact," he said.

"Large easterly swells will peak on Wednesday and may require a hazardous surf warning."
This week is predicted to be more temperate than last week, with cool winds developing by Thursday.
The spokesman said humid conditions would continue for four to five days before tapering off for the rest of the week.

"The next few days we're looking at south-easterly winds and medium chance of a shower," he said
"Winds will increase on Monday a touch, then ease back on Tuesday and Wednesday, then start to freshen by Thursday."

The hottest day is predicted to be Wednesday at 31 degrees, before dropping down to a high of 25 on Friday and Saturday.
It's also expected to be a wet one, with a 40 per cent chance of rain on Monday, rising to 50 per cent on Tuesday with partly cloudy conditions.
Thursday and Friday have a 50 and 60 per cent chance respectively, and storms are expected further inland during the week.
