Mackay man jailed for 15 months over CQ break and enters

A 29-YEAR-OLD Mackay man charged with a spate of break and enters across the region last month will spend the next 15 months in jail.

Joel Gary Thompson pleaded guilty in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court to 42 charges this morning.

Police prosecutor Julie Marsden said there were 33 complainants in Yeppoon, Emu Park, Rockhampton and Mackay.

Thompson was sentenced to three years imprisonment, with a parole eligibility date of May 5, 2015.

He was ordered to pay $16,274.95 restitution.
