Mahjong fans get expert’s handbook

WITH a huge increase in the number of people across the region regularly playing mahjong, Dr Noel Sammon, of Rockhampton is helping to make learning the game easier.

His new book, The Rockhampton Mahjong Players' Guide, was recently launch by the Rockhampton Mahjong Club at Callaghan Park.

Noel's book is a com

prehensive collection of the many games played by mahjong clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Jan Davison of the Rockhampton club said the players' guide was a must-have book for all mahjong enthusiasts.

The launch of The Rockhampton Mahjong Players' Guide was celebrated with an afternoon tea with a Chinese theme, which was organised by members Esther Black and Vera Collins.

The Rockhampton Mahjong Club meets every Tuesday afternoon in the Jockey Club ground floor rooms at Callaghan Park. For details contact Jan Davison on 4927 5229 or Helen Bredhauer on 4927 1850.
