Masked men hold up Raffles Hotel
TWO men brandishing a knife and a crowbar held up Raffles Hotel in North Rockhampton on Thursday night.
The men, heavily disguised in hoodies and balaclavas, entered the bar area at about 10.50pm and demanded the money from the till.
Rockhampton police said the offenders also stole the cash book from the poker machines.
The pair ran off and a dog squad was sent to search for them, unsuccessfully.
Police also conducted a door knock in the nearby area.
Rockhampton CIB is continuing investigations.
The first man is described as being in his late 20s, around 180cm tall with a dark complexion and a slim build.
He was wearing a white jacket, black trousers and white shoes.
The second man is described as being in his late 20s, around 175cm tall with a dark complexion and a slim build.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black trousers and white shoes.
The hold-up at the Raffles Hotel in Musgrave St, follows another in early January. A knife-wielding bandit, wearing a balaclava and board shorts, held up the hotel in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Shortly after 1am, the man entered the hotel armed with a hunting knife and demanded money from staff.
