Man, 45, killed in Bruce Highway crash near Marlborough

A 45-year-old man has died in a Bruce Highway crash near Marlborough north of Rockhampton, after his timber truck rolled.

The Plainland man was killed in the crash, about 25km north of the township which sits halfway between Rockhampton and Mackay.

The crash closed the Bruce Highway was closed for "several hours" according to Queensland Police, with traffic still unable to pass the scene at 9.45pm.

Timber was strewn across both lanes of the highway.

The Capricornia District Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating.
