Man airlifted to Rockhampton after electrical shock

A 40-YEAR-OLD man was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital last night after he received an electric shock from power lines near his cattle truck.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said crews were called to the scene, on the Burnett Hwy at Dixalea, at 8pm.

They said it was believed the man was walking on top of the cattle truck when he received the shock.

The spokesperson said the man suffered a head injury, but it was not known if that was caused by the fall from the roof  of the truck into the vehicle or from the cattle being transported.

The man was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital by the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service.
