Man charged with armed robbery

POLICE have charged a Rockhampton man, 20, with armed robbery, alleging he was involved in the hold-up of a service station on the city's north side last year.

Rockhampton police CIB officer-in-charge Detective Sergeant Scott Moon said the man was the third person charged in relation to the robbery of the Caltex Service Station on Yaamba Rd on June 21.

"This goes to show we are continually looking at these robberies and we have a dedicated team working on them," Snr Sgt Moon said.

The accused, who was charged on Tuesday, will appear in court at a later date.
