Man demands cash from woman

POLICE are hunting a man who bailed up a woman at her Gracemere home and demanded cash and personal belongings Wednesday night.

Investigations are continuing into the incident that happened on the Gavial-Gracemere Road.

The woman, 51, has told police she was woken around midnight by a man who threatened her and demanded cash and personal belongings.

She complied and handed over some belongings.

Shortly after the woman's 23-year-old daughter arrived home and the man left the house.

He is described as being in his mid-30s with dark curly hair and he spoke with an accent.

He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

The woman was not injured in the incident.
