Man fined, convicted after being caught with a radar-detector

DAMIEN Peter Byers pleaded guilty in writing to the Rockhampton Magistrates Court this week after being charged for possessing a radar-detection device.

The court heard Byers had co-operated with police.

Magistrate Jeff Clarke fined the man $400 and a conviction was recorded as a traffic offence.
