Man fined for lying on road

A MAN yesterday appeared in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court for lying down in the middle of a Rockhampton road and later standing in the same spot while punching the air and abusing passing motorists.

Jacob Chermside pleaded guilty to being a public nuisance on June 5.

Magistrate Cameron Press fined him $300, but no conviction was recorded.
