Man found dead tied to chair on Gold Coast

UPDATE: Police are investigating the death of a man at a unit in Varsity Lakes this morning.

Around 11am, police were called to the Mulgrave Crescent address where a man was found deceased.

Forensic officers and police are conducting investigations at the scene.

The death is being treated as suspicious.

EARLIER: A MAN has been found dead tied to a chair inside a Varsity Lakes unit this afternoon.  

Police and forensics have cordoned off the Mulgrave Crescent unit block after reports the man's flatmate found him tied up and unresponsive.  

The flatmate, believed to be female, has gone with police to assist with inquiries.  

Several properties have been locked down and police have taped up a taxi found nearby.
