Man found with steroids in his underwear

A ROCKHAMPTON man who was caught with steroids stashed in his underwear told police he never used them and did not know how to.

Nathan Wayne Lawton pleaded guilty to one count of possessing restricted drugs in Rockhampton Magistrates Court this morning after police nabbed him on Fitzroy Street on September 27.

Police prosecutor Clancy fox told the court Lawton was the passenger in the car when intercepted at 1.10am.

Lawton was found with a blister pack of testosterone steroids in the front of his underwear for which he did not have a prescription.

The 32-year-old told police they belonged to him but he had never used them and he did not know how to.

Defence lawyer Shayne Studdert said the steroids belonged to the driver of the car.

"He panicked and gave them to Nathan and put them down his pants," he said.

Lawton was fined $800.
