Man who pulled spear gun on neighbours evades police in ute

10.55am: THE latest reports indicate a 25-year-old man who threatened neighbours with a spear gun in Frenchville this morning is now driving towards Yeppoon.

Other reports indicate the man did not just threaten the grandmother and granddaughter, but also a male neighbour.

10.40am: REPORTS indicate a 25-year-old male pulled a spear gun on a grandmother and her granddaughter this morning over missing shoes.

Police are responding to the incident, which was first reported as a man pull a gun on a female neighbour and a young child.

Updated reports indicated the altercation started over the man getting upset at the females for looking in his property for a missing item.

It is believed the females have left the scene.

10.32am: POLICE are responding to reports of a man who has pulled a gun on his neighbour and her daughter.

Reports indicate the 25-year-old is known to police.

Police have yet to confirm the man has a gun, but another neighbour has reported to Triple 0 operators that they hear the man arguing with the woman and say that he has a gun.
