Man run over by semi-trailer in Chinchilla

A MAN in his 20s has been rushed to the Chinchilla Hospital after being run over by a semi-trailer this afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said they were called to the scene at the corner of the Warrego Highway and Cooper Street in Chinchilla just before 1pm.

According to a Queensland Police Service spokesperson, the man was working under the truck at the time "and it looked like the driver has driven off unaware".

The man sustained serious leg injuries in the incident, but is currently in a stable condition.
