Man saved from burning house in Buderim

An elderly man's Buderim house has been badly damaged. He was dragged from the house by neighbours in the early hours of Saturday morning.

NEIGHBOURS rescued an elderly man from his burning home in Buderim in the early hours of this morning. 

The Palmyra Cres house ignited at about 1am, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said.

The man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

The site of the fire was being guarded by police until a fire examiner arrived. 

Police are not treating the fire as suspicious.

Traffic on Palmyra Cres and nearby Wises Rd is flowing freely.
