Man taken to hospital six hours after falling off his roof

10am: Ambulance paramedics have been called to a West Rockhampton house after a man fell off his roof while allegedly intoxicated at 3am this morning.

Initial report suggest the man had arrived home from a night out before the accident.

He had gone to bed after the fall but woke up about 9am in pain and unable to move. He is believed to be suffering from a rib injury, numerous abrasions and numbness.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Extra crews have been called into to assist in removing him from the home to transport to Rockhampton Hospital.
