Man to face court for possession of firearms after search

ROCKHAMPTON Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad officers and police in Tieri and Capella searched two Tieri properties for weapons last Thursday.

A man, 29, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of fail to store small arms ammunition in a secure area.

He is due to appear in Emerald Magistrates Court on October 21.

Capricornia District country patrol Inspector Dave Peff said it is a timely reminder about the licensing requirements for possessing firearms.
