Man, woman injured in home invasion

POLICE have charged two men following a violent incident at Park Avenue, Rockhampton today.

It will be alleged that around 12.30pm two men entered a Harriette Street address and allegedly assaulted a man and a woman at the address.

A 29-year-old man was taken to the Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment of head and leg injuries.

A 35-year-old woman was treated for a hand injury.

Two men have been charged with enter dwelling with intent in company and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed in company.

A 22-year-old Koongal man is expected to appear at the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on May 18.

A 33-year-old Berserker man is expected to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow.
