
Manchester United keep Champions League hopes alive
FOOTBALL: Two goals in less than one minute have sealed Manchester United's place in the Champions League last 16 for the first time since 2013.
United downed CSKA Moscow 2-1 at Old Trafford yesterday to top Group A.
The home side trailed 1-0 after CSKA struck before the break but goals from Romelu Lukaku in the 65th minute and Marcus Rashford in the 66th, turned the tie.
Serie A sides Juventus and Roma and Swiss champions Basel also advanced.
Juventus beat Olympiacos 2-0, Roma downed Qarabag 1-0, Basel won 2-0 at Benfica and Chelsea qualified despite being held 1-1 at home by Atletico Madrid.
Juventus triumphed 2-0 at Olympiacos to progress second behind Group D winners Barcelona, who won 2-0 at home to Sporting.
Roma beat Qarabag 1-0 to top Group C ahead of Chelsea, who were held 1-1 at home by Atletico Madrid and Basel won 2-0 at Benfica to qualify second in Group A.
In Group B, Bayern Munich defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 but failed to find the four-goal winning margin needed to knock the French off top spot.
Celtic secured the Europa League spot in the group despite losing 1-0 at home to Anderlecht.
