Man's arm partially severed in car crash

BREAKING: A MAN has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital after his arm was partially severed, according to Rockhampton Police.

The crash happened at about 3pm at the traffic lights at Jellicoe St and Lower Dawson Rd.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the man suffered a "very severe" arm injury and was transported in a serious condition.

Police believe the man, who was driving a car, swerved to avoiding running into a ute which was stopped at the lights.

The man's arm was injured on the tray of the ute.
