Man's body found at base of crane in Brisbane

A MAN'S body has been found at the base of the 1 William Street construction site in Brisbane's CBD.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death at the building dubbed Queensland's Tower of Power.

He is believed to have fallen from a significant height.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said his body was found just before 6am on Monday at the base of a crane. He is believed to have died sometime overnight.

QPS said the man was not a site worker but had been trespassing on the site.
