Market runs hot for high-end properties with big floor space

THEY may be out of the price range of many, but houses worth more than $600,000 are hot property for those with the budget.

Herron Todd White's September Month in Review identified those homes at the top of the market as being the ones to watch.

The report didn't come as a surprise to Rockhampton real estate agent Jason Rayner, who is currently fielding interest in a property listed for sale at $699,000.

And it's not the only one. Jason said he has had great interest in several properties at the top end of the market.

"That top end is definitely starting to light up," he said.

"We're definitely seeing an increase in the amount of people inquiring, ready to buy and are looking to grab good value for money.

"Properties probably going the best have a view, a big floor area, and large block of land."

He identified Frenchville and Norman Gardens as two areas in demand.
