Matty Johns pulls off all-time prank
Matty Johns never forgets.
The star of Fox Sports NRL coverage has waited nine months for revenge on Manly's Tom Trbojevic after his cold Origin sledge last year.
If you need a refresher, the younger of the Trbojevic brothers was interviewed after the Blues' famous victory in Game Two by Matty's brother Andrew.
"You get to do it with your brother, how does that feel," Andrew Johns asked.
"It's pretty awesome," said Tom, before remembering Andrew never paired successfully with Matty in the Origin arena. "He (Matty) did nothing for you, but lucky Jake's here with me."
On this week's edition of Sunday Night with Matty Johns it was time for revenge.
Matty underwent a makeover to become diehard Manly fan Dave from Dee Why before gatecrashing an appearance by Tom and Jake at a Rebel Sport store in Brookvale.
As you can see in the video player above, he made an absolute nuisance of himself in an electric mobility scooter, weirding out every one in the room and forcing the brothers to try to maintain a straight face.
He managed to plant a kiss on Jake's arm and have him sign a copy of People magazine, while also interrupting an interview conducted by Hannah Hollis with chants of "Go Manly" and "Dessie's back".
Midway through the sting, Dave's cover was blown when Jake recognised him. But he became part of the con job on Tom, handing over the keys to his car so Dave could spring one final surprise.
Revenge doesn't get any sweeter.
