Max Brenner and Guzman y Gomez among new Stockland eateries

TWO scoops of vanilla ice cream, waffle cubes, crunchy waffle balls, gooey toffee and fresh banana served with caramelised pecans and a pot of pure melted chocolate all served up on the one plate.

If you're licking your lips and your sweet tooth has been sent into overdrive after reading that, you're going to love what Stockland Rockhampton has in store for you.

Stockland Rockhampton has announced they have locked in popular restaurant Max Brenner Chocolate Bar to take up tenancy in The Terrace alfresco dining precinct in the New Year.

Boasting a menu oozing with chocolatey goodness, Max Brenner is renowned as a restaurant where you can indulge in decadent pastries, creamy fondues and thick milkshakes.

But wait, there's more.

Stockland Rocky have also announced award winning gelato brand Gelatissimo, popular Mexican restaurant Guzman y Gomez and self-proclaimed 'best burgers in town' brand Burger Urge will also take up tenancies in the new $6.6 million, 250-seat casual dining development.

The new precinct is being designed to bring together a tantalising range of international foods and flavours, offering customers a new place to meet, eat and socialise with family and friends.

Stockland Centre Manager, Nathanial Barbagallo was thrilled to announce the four big brand restaurants of the six allocated restaurants.

"We are extremely excited to announce these first four, big name food retailers, which we know our customers will love. We promised a great mix of casual dining eateries to compliment the current mix of retailers and we are delivering on that promise," Mr Barbagallo said.

Tamir Haikin, Managing Director of Max Brenner Australia shared in Mr Barbagallo's excitement.

"We are excited to extend our unique chocolate culture across northern Queensland and to be bringing our first chocolate bar to Rockhampton at the new Terrace at Stockland Rockhampton," Mr Haikin said.

"This is an exciting time for the Max Brenner brand as we continue to grow. We are committed to sharing our new chocolate culture across Australia and to continually providing a unique experience to our loyal customers."

Construction of all-weather indoor and outdoor casual dining area, The Terrace, is on schedule and set to open in early 2016.

Upon completion, The Terrace will become a destination in its own right, featuring several exciting new food eateries with all-weather seating for alfresco and after hours dining all year round.

The northern aspect of the dining precinct will take full advantage of natural light and the design will be complimented by a warm colour palette creating a resort-style dining sanctuary.

Stockland estimates The Terrace will create 50 new, long-term retail jobs.
