Cloudy with chance of meatballs? No just vandals

MYSTERY culprits have targeted a Maryborough home, smashing a window with unlikely but tasty ammunition.

The person or persons responsible for throwing meatballs and tomato sauce at a Queen St home will face charges of wilful damage if the law catches up with them.

Acting Sergeant Matt Walker, of the Maryborough police, said property was damaged, a window smashed and a wall covered in a tomato sauce mess.

The food attack on the home happened sometime between 8am and 4pm on Sunday.

Acting Sgt Walker said it wasn't the first time the home had been targeted.

"The occupants of the home said the house was egged the previous day," he said.

Despite the questionable nature of the edible ammunition, the home was damaged.

"The offenders will be charged with wilful damage when we catch up with them," Acting Sgt Walker said.

He said police investigations were continuing.
