Meet Livingstone council hopefuls at forum or via Live blog

IN the lead up to the Livingstone Shire Council election on November 9, local community groups have organised a public candidate's forum to bring together candidates and voters.

People are encouraged to attend the forum which will be held on Thursday at the Yeppoon Town Hall from 6pm.

The forum will give residents the opportunity to meet, talk to and hear from the 27 council and three mayoral candidates.

Candidates will be asked to present their case for being elected and outline their vision and views on topics such as business and industry, environment, planning and development, community services and community consultation and engagement.

Chantelle James of the Capricorn Conservation Council said with so many candidates, the forum would run to a strict time schedule.

Doors will open at 5pm.
