Mental health

ROCKHAMPTON nurse Michael Powell is keen to help people with mental illnesses or those supporting them who are having problems getting adequate treatment.

Michael, who coordinates the Central Queensland Cancer Awareness Group, said he was keen to act as a point of contact for easy information dissemination, using the group's currently underutilised facilities.

“If any member of the community feels that they have been poorly dealt with or is in any other way in need of support in dealing with a mental health issue, they can contact me,” Michael said.

For more information call Michael on 0422 867 198 or 49225 321 between 10am and 6pm.

This week is Mental Health Week.
