From prescriptions to proprietress, Mia loves new role
PHARMACIST Mia Leong is bringing her passion for healthcare to a new level.
The pharmacist is embarking on a new challenge, as she takes up the role of managing proprietor of Richardson Road Discount Drug Store.
"I'm extremely passionate about delivering unique, personalised service and professional advice to our customers," she said.
"My staff and I always strive to go above and beyond the call of duty and to not simply be seen as typical pharmacists that just fill prescriptions."
While Ms Leong is excited to jump straight into the new role, she's also eager to be able to provide more professional health services with two pharmacists on board every weekday.
The drug store is now located in the Red Hill Homemaker Centre and has a medical centre and skin specialist centre next door and another doctor's surgery only 500 metres away.
"It's a much more convenient and accessible location for our customers that will allow them to seek professional health advice, services and products all in the one location," Ms Leong said.
And if you can't make it to the store, Discount Drugs have an online shopping service for their Richardson Road customers.
"One of the reasons why I chose to work with Discount Drug Stores was that they cater to every customer's needs," said Ms Leong.
"They provide a range of both in-store and virtual services that ensure Australians can look after their health regardless of their location, condition or lifestyle.
"We also have services where our customers are able to ring the pharmacy to organise prescription refills," she said.
"It's all about making (our customers') lives easier."
