CTC's Million Dollar Job Pledge initiative kicks off

ROCKHAMPTON business CTC wants the young people of today to be the helping hands of putting money back into the CQ region.

In an aim to generate jobs for young people and get local businesses on board, CTC has started the Million Dollar Job Pledge initiative where CQ businesses that pledge to hire a trainee or an apprentice between now and February will be eligible for financial incentives.

CTC manager Darryl Lapworth said he didn't want to see young people leave the region to find work elsewhere.

"If every business in the CQ area puts one new person on that will create millions of dollars per year," he said.

INFORMATION SESSIONS:

Yeppoon: Tuesday, November 24, at 7am at the Yeppoon Town Hall. Mayor Bill Ludwig will launch the event. HOT FM will feature a live broadcast.
