Miners dig in on pay deal

BLACKWATER miners are on the warpath, using stop-work meetings to vent concerns that contractors and temporary workers are undermining their job security.

More than 350 miners met in Blackwater yesterday over stalled pay talks with mining conglomerate BHP Mitsubishi Alliance.

The Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union says they are angry with BMA's attitude to the talks.
