Minor accident on Burnett Highway

A 73-YEAR-OLD man was involved in a single vehicle accident lunchtime today.

Emergency services were called to the accident on the Burnett Highway about 15-20kms south of Mt Morgan at 1.15pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the male patient was taken to Mount Morgan Hospital as a precautionary measure only.

He said the patient had self-extricated, was conscious and walking around when ambulance officers arrived.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the Mount Morgan firefighters spent some time securing the Mitsubishi triton, which has rolled in the course of the accident.

The man was the only person in the vehicle.
