Minor flood warning issued for the Fitzroy River system

THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a minor flood warning for the Fitzroy River System.

The warning was issued at 9.45am today for minor flooding of the Upper Dawson River. 

The BOM warning states:

Minor flood levels have peaked and are starting to fall at Taroom.

Minor flood levels peaked at 5.12 metres on the Dawson River at Taroom during Friday evening.

River levels are expected to rise downstream of Taroom during the weekend and into next week.

Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.

The next warning is due to be issued by 12:00 pm (Midday) AEST on Sunday 06 December 2015.
