Missing Rockhampton teen found at school

IT WAS a traumatic time for the family of Reanna Walker, but the 14-year-old has been found safe and well.

About 11.15am yesterday she turned up at her local high school, still in the clothes she was wearing when she disappeared almost 43 hours before.

The Child Protection Investigation Unit put out an alert on Wednesday after she went missing from Lakes Creek Rd about 5pm on Tuesday.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Jim Edwards said police were continuing to investigate the motives for the disappearance.

"Our aim here is to try and prevent a reoccurrence of this, not just for the child involved but to other children as well," he said. "(We want) to let people know they can also seek help, and there are organisations and groups who can help children in need."

They are also making inquiries to find out where she was while she was missing. Reanna's family want to thank everyone who shared information to help find her.
