Police seek missing two men from central western Queensland

THE search for missing Rubyvale man Noel Baines continues despite SES searchers being stood down on Tuesday.

Police have renewed their appeal for anyone with information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800333000 if Mr Baines' car, a blue Toyota with registration 040 SAG, is spotted.

Meanwhile, police are also searching for British backpacker Sam Woodhead, who failed to return to a property he was staying at, about 130km south-west of Longreach.

The 18-year-old left Upshot Station on Bogewong Alroy Rd around 5.30pm on Tuesday.

The man is described as Caucasian, 180cm tall with a muscular build and short dark hair. He was wearing white shorts and a white shirt, and was carry a large backpack.

Anyone who may have seen or picked up the man in the vicinity of the property is urged to contact police.
