Model gives birth without knowing she’s pregnant

EAST Geelong model Erin Langmaid has given birth to a baby girl on a bathroom floor after having no idea she was pregnant.

The Australian model, 23, showed no signs of pregnancy with no sickness, baby bump or cravings, and only felt ill on the day her daughter was born.

Erin was working full-time and having contraceptive injections before the miracle birth.

Instagram photos taken weeks before the birth show no sign of a baby bump as she fitted into her normal sized jeans.

Erin went to the bathroom feeling sick before giving birth to a baby girl having no idea she was 37 weeks pregnant

She gave birth to daughter Isla, who weighed a healthy 3.6 kilograms, in 10 minutes in a bathroom.

It was later discovered that Erin had a cryptic pregnancy, where the mother doesn't find out about the pregnancy until very late.

"It was the biggest shock of my life," Ms Langmaid told 7News.

Her partner Dan Carty heard the commotion in the bathroom and was shocked at what he found.

"I heard a big scream and I ran in there and opened the door and I was worried about her, and then I saw the little one and I thought ''hang on, there's two'',' Mr Carty said.

But then panic set in.

After the birth, Isla wasn't breathing and started turning blue, forcing Mr Carty to make a call to emergency services which saved their daughter's life.

The new mother said she could not think of a way anyone would have known she was pregnant, but is embracing motherhood with her partner and beautiful daughter.

'This is our life now and we wouldn't change it,' Ms Langmaid said.

In a cryptic pregnancy, the mother does not learn she is pregnant until very late.
