Croc that ate two dogs and calf captured

A LARGE crocodile that consumed two dogs and a baby cow has been captured by rangers from a creek near Tully.

The Department of Environment and Heritage Protection wildlife officers have removed the 4m long saltwater crocodile from Boar Creek, Tully after it exhibited “concerning behaviour.�

An EHP spokesman said the officers set a trap to catch the large reptile after it reportedly killed two dogs and a calf.

The croc was trapped yesterday morning.

It is expected the animal will be taken to a crocodile farm or zoo.
