A TOOWOOMBA man away from home received a shock when his wife sent him a photograph of a massive python that was nestled at the entrance to the couple's shed.

The man tweeted: "Wow. "The things the #wife tells you on a #friday when you are 1000kms away.#snake #Toowoomba 10 foot long"

There were no words on whether the man made a mercy dash back to Toowoomba to remove the three-metre-long snake.
